Dream Learn Work (DLW) celebrate our students hard work and achievements with our social partner Bola Pra Frente. Almost 30 students from this social project in Guadalupe, Rio de Janeiro have completed vocational training courses through DLW in 2015. The graduation ceremony is an occasion to celebrate with friends and family. And this time - with a very special cake.
So far in 2015, 27 students from Bola Pra Frente have completed courses in different areas, such as gastronomy, electricity and administration. This is a result of our focus on enlarging our educational platform as a response to lower activity in our traditional sectors, maritime and oil & gas. Gastronomy and administration are examples of skills that often provide employment opportunities early in the training process.
No graduation is complete without a proper cake. This time, the cake was made by Patriny, who completed DLW-training in artistic cakes earlier this year. ‘’I already liked making cakes, but the course I did at SENAI made me dream about making my business bigger. I learned so much and this is helping me sell the cakes. I am so grateful for the opportunity I had to do the artistic cake making course through Dream Learn Work,’’ Patriny said when she spoke during the graduation ceremony.
Bola Pra Frente was DLWs first social partner. In 2007, Dream Learn Work sponsored a new school building for Bola Pra Frente to help them give more support with school work for their young participants. Since then, we have offered participants from Bola Pra Frente vocational training and opportunities for a professional career. “Bola Pra Frente offers social and pedagogical support to all their participants. Their work is impressive. We can see their work through the dedication of the students we recruit from them,” says Dagny Nome, DLW General Manager.
In 2015, our collaboration is still going strong.
