Rio Oil & Gas 2018

out 26, 2018

In the last three editions of Rio Oil & Gas, Innovation Norway has invited us to the Norwegian Pavilion to connect with the Norwegian network in the Oil and Gas industry in Rio de Janeiro and meet new connections. Even though every year was a great success, 2018 brought a fresh breeze of positivity to the industry.

Dream Learn Work was founded by six Norwegian companies in 2006: DOF Subsea (formerly NorSkan Offshore), Jotun Coatings, DNV GL (formerly Det Norske Veritas), Kongsberg, DnB, and Vard (formerly STX OSV). This is one of the main reasons DLW is so close to the Norwegian industry here in Rio de Janeiro. However, since the founding, we have also partnered with several other companies from Norway and the Norwegian government. Getting the opportunity to have a stand at Rio Oil and Gas every second year is crucial for us, and we are extremely grateful for the spot we are given all these years.

Our participation at Rio Oil & Gas is not only at the stand. Dream Learn Work also attended the traditional Rio Oil & Gas Dinner hosted by NBCC, which was another great opportunity for us to connect with the industry and share our vision and work. Glorisabel Garrido and the NBCC team, thank you for inviting us. Moments like these networking events are essential for our work towards the corporate partners.

At the fair, we also participated in a few activities. For example, at our partners stand, Equinor, the HR leader, Debora Barros, held a presentation explaining what Equinor looks for when hiring. She also talked a bit about the company’s culture and benefits. Have a look at her slides in the photo album! There are definitely many interesting things to have in mind when looking for a job, not only at Equinor but also at other companies. Great presentation, Debora!

Thank you, Rio Oil & Gas, for this edition and the positive energy. We were happy to meet all new contacts and follow up on the ones that already are in our network. DLW is already looking forward to the next edition!
